Chris Bamford
Chris has a unique blend of consulting, Human Resources, and international business leadership. During his 25 year career, the roles he has played have provided him with a wealth experiences that allows him to hold a variety of perspectives on complex business issues.
In his last position as Direct and General Manager of International at Americhem, Chris led a turn-around effort that moved the Asian and European business from loss making to a profitable contributor.
Prior to that role, Chris was Americhem’s top HR executive for 15 years. During that time, he participated in the doubling the size of the Company. By introducing innovative best practices, he partnered with other functional areas to ensure the Company had the people ready for growth. Among these were Performance Management systems, Talent Tracking and Succession Planning programs, installation of a Corporate University, Behaviorally Based Interviewing, and Compensation structures that rewarded team and individual performance. Chris also participated in several acquisitions in the U.S., and was part of the team that started up the plant in Suzhou, China
Chris has a passion working with individuals and teams from different cultures. He has traveled extensively to China and Western Europe.
Before Americhem, Chris worked at Cleveland based consulting firms offering services in Management Psychology. He has performed psychological assessments, provided 360 feedback and created developmental action plans for senior executives and managers. He also delivered a variety of training programs and led many organizational changes initiatives for clients.
